Tapa Cloth from Oro Province

A geometric pattern mola textile in red and white.

$500.00

Category: Tapa Cloth
  • Description

Description

Out of my personal collection, is this stunning work of art. Talented women in Oro Province pound bark to a flattened piece of cloth then use plant based material to paint designs. Each one is different and representative of the individual clan. I’m on the search through my records to find out who made this and what cultural group it came from. Just know it’s quite special. The size is 48″ x 28″ and will be beautiful on a wall. Shipping costs have changed, even if you are in the United States. Please inquire and I will obtain an estimate

Colors used come from nature.
