Flags and Families
The Explorers Club has been a major part of my life since 1995, when I was designated as a Fellow National and now reclassified as Emeritus Member. Of the three flags I’ve carried on expeditions, two were in Papua New Guinea. “Underwater Cave System Blue Hole” and “Headhunt Revisited: With Brush Canvas and Camera”. The experience I’ve been honored to have brought me to connecting the bubbles in the ocean marinelife to the artwork created through traditional tribal and contemporary art by the talent of the next generation..
I want to thank the Explorers Club for allowing me to carry a replica of the flags, #157 and #46, to celebrate! The originals, which are now retired, have been carried from the ocean depths, and mountaintops to space.

Oh My Moment
As I look through my journal, it was heart warming to have friends I’ve known for years who heard we were at Tufi Resort. The wantoks have been photographed over two decades. Benson, Champion and Wesbill joined us for a tok-tok. Champion still had the short version of Chief Davidson, although recorded in 2005 and since passed away, singing a baby lullaby on his phone!!!
Love to all!!!
